Apple has just been listed as the top consumer brand in Japan for the first time ever. The survey, conducted annually by Nikkei BP Consulting, found that Apple scored a total of 90.5 points for brand power. Apple was listed as the 11th most popular brand in Japan last year. Nikkei also found that Apple’s iPad and “two other” products were listed among the top 40 brands in the country. We’re guessing one of those other products is the iPhone, although the consulting firm didn’t specifically say that. Nikkei’s “Brand Japan 2012” survey takes 1,000 brands into consideration and is conducted between November and December of each year online.52,000 adults participated in the survey.
